1. Hire Period

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all hire items are supplied for a 24-hour hire period, commencing from the agreed setup or collection time and concluding at the scheduled pack-down, collection, or return time. Any extension of the hire period must be approved in writing prior to the expiry of the original hire period. Additional hire charges may apply for late returns or extended hire.

2. Booking Confirmation

A booking is not confirmed, secured, or reserved until the required deposit has been received as cleared funds. Availability displayed online or communicated verbally is subject to change without notice until payment has been received. Upon receipt of the deposit, the event date and hire items will be reserved exclusively for the Client.

3. Security Bond

A refundable security bond is required for all DIY collection hires and for selected deliveries at the sole discretion of HnK Party Hire. The bond is held as security against loss, theft, damage, excessive cleaning, late return, or any breach of this agreement. The bond does not limit the Client's liability should the actual cost exceed the bond amount.

4. Delivery, Setup & Collection Charges

Delivery, installation, dismantling, and collection fees are calculated based on the event location, accessibility, travel distance, parking availability, tolls, stairs, waiting time, and any other site-specific requirements. Additional charges may apply where site conditions differ from those disclosed at the time of booking.

5. Loss or Damage

The Client accepts full responsibility for all hired equipment from the time possession is transferred until the equipment has been collected by HnK Party Hire or returned by the Client. Any item that is lost, stolen, damaged beyond reasonable wear and tear, vandalised, or rendered unusable will be charged at the full replacement cost, including freight, supplier charges, labour, cleaning, repair costs, and any associated loss of hire.

6. Final Payment

The outstanding balance, together with any applicable delivery charges, bond, or additional agreed fees, must be paid in full no later than the due date specified on the invoice and before the commencement of setup, collection, or delivery. HnK Party Hire reserves the right to suspend, postpone, or cancel the booking without liability if payment has not been received by the due date.

7. Client Responsibility & Risk

The Client is responsible for ensuring that all hired equipment is used safely, appropriately, and strictly in accordance with its intended purpose. The Client assumes all risk associated with the possession and use of the hired equipment and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless HnK Party Hire, its owners, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from the Client's use, misuse, handling, installation, or possession of the hired equipment, except where such liability arises solely from the proven negligence of HnK Party Hire.

8. Public Liability

HnK Party Hire maintains Public Liability Insurance for its business operations. The Client remains responsible for ensuring that the hire area is safe, secure, and suitable for the intended use of the equipment during the hire period. The Client is liable for any loss or damage arising from their negligence, misuse, or failure to adequately supervise the hired equipment.
